Note to Soul: When the Season's Change, You Change: Be Prepared Part 2
If you've read Part 1 then you know this blog is dedicated on how to prepare for the seasonal changes. The season of Autumn is a transition period that leaves many of us with low frequencies and feeling exhausted. It is extremely important for you to take as much time you need for yourself until you're you again. It's the season to reconnect with yourself and do a lot of self-healing and work. These next few months are personal, so take care of your mind, body, and soul.
As a seasonal bath and body company each season we make products to adjust with the seasonal changes and self-care routine. Our Autumn Soul Care Box and collection is available for purchase. To add to your self-care routine this Fall here are some things we strongly encourage. We know it will be hard to adjust, however, we do not want anyone to have low energy, be frustrated, and/or up and down.
1. Take at 15-30 minutes everyday for yourself.
We get it! You may be busy, so to make this easy spend this time in the morning, night, and/or both. Spend the first/last 15-30 minutes of your day reflecting and doing things that you really enjoy. If you love to wake up (or go to bed) doing yoga and meditation then do it. If you love to wake up (or go to bed), watching youtube vlogs, do it! Do the things that makes ________(insert your name) happy. We suggest to ALWAYS recite some positive and happy affirmations to yourself every morning and night.
2. Get Fresh Air
Although it may be a little chilly, try to get as much fresh air as you can. Take a walk around your neighborhood and/or park, sit out on your balcony, or even at a football game. Even a tiny bit of freshness is very important during this season. Try to find a trail with nice scenery in your area. Walking in nature can decrease negative thinking and anxiety.
3. Set the Mood
Set the mood this fall with some home decor, candle, and cozy blankets. A few home decor can literally be purchased at Dollar Tree to set the fall mood. It's nothing wrong with setting candle during the summer, but Fall is the PERFECT time to light candles. The sun goes down sooner and plus the scents are much better in the fall. Grab your cozy blanket, dim the lights, and enjoy the warms candle scents.
4. Physical Activity
Try your best to do some sort of physical activity at least 30 minutes a day 3-4 times a week. You can literally do yoga stretches, abs, squats, walk, run, indoor swimming, whatever you like! Find an activity that works best with your schedule.
5. Fall Activities
This season brings some of the best activities such as apple picking, fairs/carnivals, Halloween, hay rides, pumpkin carving, etc. Get out and try something different than you are used to! Grab a friend, boo, or simply go by yourself. It'll be fun!
6. Writing/Journaling
A great way to release your feelings and emotions is by writing things down. It gives you the opportunity to go back and look at how you were able to overcome some of your darkest moments and/or see how happy you are. Personally, I like to journal while soaking in a warm bath with candle lit around the tub and smooth jazz and soft music playing in the background. It's amazing! Grab a journal and write down your thoughts, feelings, emotions every day.
There are so many activities you can do this Fall, but this is just a few that has worked for us! Give it a try and let us know how this has helped you this year. We hope that you have a warm, cozy, and amazing Autumn.
